Megan Savage, for
whom the Foundation was named, passed away at the age of nine after
a two-and-a-half year battle with Leukemia. Megan faced her illness
with a brave smile, a courageous heart and seldom shed a tear for
herself. In 2005, as a tribute to Megan and to her valiant battle,
her parents (extended family of the Shoreline owners) founded
Megan’s Wings.
Megan’s Wings
exists to search for cures to childhood cancers. It provides hope
and support for children with cancer and their families through
research, advocacy and awareness of these devastating diseases.
Megan’s Wings raises funds through various athletic fundraising
events, gifts from individuals and corporate sponsorships.
